Get in touch

I design conversational and product experiences for products millions of people use, like Kate at KBC and VRT MAX. I also build: with AI I move fast from idea to prototype, and I ship small products end to end, back-end included.

Experience

Dec 2022 to Mar 2025, Mar 2026 to Present
UX / Conversational Designer
KBC, via iO, then freelance
  • Responsible for all business communications and third-party services (parking, mobility, partner features) inside Kate, KBC Mobile's assistant, which handles around 21,500 questions a day. Owned the conversation flows, scope, knowledge bases, proactive conversations, and the dashboards that tracked how they performed.
  • Part of the core team that brought LLMs into Kate, then a fully rule-based system. Designed the AI-answer experience, including a distinct message bubble that discloses AI-generated replies and their source, to keep trust in a financial context.
  • Designed the in-app flows Kate hands off to, including an end-to-end ATM locator: chat action, to a clustered map, to a detail view with opening hours and what each machine can do.
  • Part of the core team that moved KBC's design org to Figma, setting up shared workflows and design-system foundations.
  • Connective tissue across Product, Business, Engineering, and UI, translating requirements into scope and keeping cross-functional teams aligned to deadline.
Mar 2025 to Mar 2026
UX Designer, VRT MAX
VRT, via iO
  • Designed a new sharing experience that makes any VRT MAX title social-ready, generating a shareable visual when a user shares.
  • Designed a new media-player experience for the FIFA World Cup, with playback built around chapters and highlights. The capability is being carried into further contexts.
  • Set up an accessibility research framework for user-testing accessibility features.
Aug 2020 to Nov 2022
UX Designer / Researcher
Smooth Sailing
  • Kaleidos (Flemish Government): ran user interviews to map how the government's decision-making platform was actually used, diagnosed why adoption was lagging, and shipped a few focused changes that noticeably improved how teams could work.
  • Payflip: turned a manual, high-touch client onboarding into a guided self-serve flow, cutting supported work from 12 to 15 hours down to around 2.
  • Flexmail: simplified onboarding for a mature email-marketing platform, redesigning contact management and cutting time-to-value from weeks to days.
