Accessibility Statement
Commitment
I'm committed to making this website accessible to everyone. The site targets conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and is continuously improved based on testing and feedback.
What we do
- Semantic HTML for clear document structure and landmarks
- Full keyboard navigation across all interactive elements
- A skip-to-content link for bypassing navigation
- Sufficient color contrast ratios across light and dark themes
- Screen reader support with ARIA labels and roles where needed
- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motion— animations are disabled automatically for users who prefer reduced motion - A settings panel to manually disable particles, motion effects, and the custom cursor
Known limitations
- Custom cursor — A decorative custom cursor replaces the default on desktop. It can be disabled via the settings panel or is automatically hidden on touch devices.
- Canvas particles — A decorative particle effect runs on a background canvas element. It is marked
aria-hiddenand can be disabled via settings. - Motion effects — Scroll-based animations and text effects are present throughout the site. These are automatically disabled when
prefers-reduced-motionis set in your operating system, and can also be toggled off in the settings panel.
Feedback
If you encounter any accessibility barriers on this site, I'd love to hear about it. Please reach out at inti@valderas.be and I'll do my best to address it.
